Fort Fun!

So, this morning Rich and I picked up this play tent for Clark. He has really loved hanging out under our dining room table and in an effort to keep him out from under there, we thought this tent would be right up his alley. And as you can see it was LOVE.

Malcolm Shots

How cute is this little guy??? All three of Marc and Lisa's kids have had their one year pictures taken on this same leather chair. I was lucky enough to be able to shoot Malcolm's and here are 2 of my faves...

Swim Class

Last night Clark got to go to his first swim lesson and he seriously had the time of his life. Rich and I had just as much fun watching him- he was a little splash machine! And he started learning a few things too, like how to kick and blow bubbles. We already can't wait for next week, and that time Rich will get in with him. Even though he was in water he was still super heavy and I'm really sore today. It was a great workout though!

Oh, and since I had the hardest time narrowing down the pictures you can click HERE and see a few more-

Clark didn't want to leave his good view of the pool but once he realized he got to go into it he was really pumped.

All the kids got in a circle to sing songs and splashed along

Splash-monster. I got the feeling some of the other parents were avoiding us, ha.

Cutest smile of all times!

Clark was learning how to kick

I had to post this one :)

"swimming" after the pool toys was one of his favorite activities, although my arms are super sore today because of it!

He got to go down a slide into the water- his two favorite things, lucky little boy!

He would jump into the pool all on his own! The first time I wasn't even ready but thankfully I was able to catch him :) He seriously has no fear!

Egg Hunt

The Saturday before Easter the Journey church in our neighborhood had a giant Easter Egg Hunt in Tower Grove Park. We met up with Perry and Malcolm and headed out to hunt some eggs, play at the play-tables and even color some eggs. It was a beautiful morning and Clark had a great time at his first egg hunt ever!

OOOHHH, eggs!

He really did great running around with his basket trying to get eggs, which he only got a couple but it had a blast- Perry was a great helper!

Clark LOVES "flying"

And Clark and I colored an Easter Egg

A visit to the Bunny-

When Clark's Grandparents were in town from FL we made a trip out to visit the Easter Bunny, and I've finally gotten around to scanning it in so we can share it- At first when we walked over to the bunny I got the death-grip hug and he certainly was more than a little nervous, but he eventually warmed up to him, although not enough to crack a smile... I think he was more curious than anything!

Easter Morning

Today was one of those perfect days- Clark was a total angel and so much fun!!! When he woke up (I mean, when I woke up :) Clark got his easter basket and had a blast opening all the eggs that were stuffed with yummy toddler treats like goldfish, yogurt melts, cheesy puffs, and animal crackers. He even got to try ONE of the mini cadburry eggs which of course sent him on a hunt for another one. He was on a serious mission, but we hid the others from him, there's only so much chocolate he's going to get! He also got a new book, a bizarre blue stretchy toy that lights up, and some sidewalk chalk which he's going to love this spring. His other fun present was a new "potty" and a fun book on how to use it. We haven't gotten it out yet though!

Then after his nice long hour and 45 minute nap we headed to his Gramme's house for a delicious Easter Brunch. Lucky little guy had more eggs to hunt for there and got to try jelly beans for the first time. Which of course gave him a sugar high like we've never seen before. He was literally running around in circles giggling- it was super cute. Sadly I forgot my camera so we didn't get any pictures but here are the ones from this morning-

Clark is big on sharing his treats and food these days-

Clark looks very suspicious of the Easter Bunny here in this picture.

Beth & David's Vow Renewal

Last night we got to witness one of our good friends Beth renew her vows with her husband David. They got married just over a year ago in Vegas before David left with his fellow marines for Afghanastan. Needless to say it's been a wild first year of marriage for these two but they are obviously still crazy about each other and it was wonderful to watch them so in love and finally getting to have their special day. Now they get to be newlyweds all over again- how cool is that? Congrats you two, we love you!!!

How adorable are they?

Some of the Parkway West ladies in attendance-

And here is my 29 week belly picture- God love Rich, as we were getting ready to go out he said I looked like I was due any day. And then when he realized that probably wasn't the nicest thing to say to a pregnant lady that's NOT due any day, he tried to make things better by saying he meant that I couldn't possibly look anymore pregnant. Thanks sweetie :) I can't believe I only have 11 weeks until this little one is going to make his grand entrance. Seriously, where has the time gone- we really need to get working on the nursery for sure, especially since it's still currently a guest room. Ha. This was taken at the end of a long night- I should have tried to take one before we left when I was all fresh for the night and not looking exhausted, but this'll have to do.

Making Pizza

There is a delicious Italian bakery on the Hill (the Italian part of town) and of course we made a stop there after lunch at Adrianas. They had fresh homemade pizza dough there so Friday we decided we'd make pizza's that for dinner- Clark made his own and it actually turned out fantastic!

Here he is spreading the olive oil on the pans.

And stretching out the dough.

pat-pat-pat

Clark did NOT like the taste of pizza dough-

Pouring the sauce with Daddy.

I think Clark ate more cheese than he put on his pizza.

And here he is with Grandpa admiring his masterpiece

Grandpa hugs

And here are the pizzas we ate, and WOW they were yummy. I have a feeling this is going to be a more frequent occurance at the DiTore household. Luckily we have some leftovers in the freezer for later on this week. YAY!

Grandma & Grandpa are here!!!

Thursday morning we got to pick up Grandma and Grandpa from the airport and we've been having a blast with them since! Clark recognized them right away and has been having so much fun with them! Each time he wakes up and realizes they're still here a huge grin spreads over his cute little face. Here's a couple pix of him modeling his new Yankees hat that we picked him up last week. Had to get him ready for baseball season! He's got such a big head though that the child's (stretchy) hat size was too small for him and we had to go with the youth. Nice.

Bring your son to work day.

Ok, not really- but this morning Clark got to go to work with his Daddy. Rich had only a few offices to hit (one of them being MY doctor and the others he has great relationships with) and I had some development project meetings to attend to so Clark got dressed up and headed to work, and he was a HIT. He said "hi" to all the nurses (he's quite the flirt when he wants to be) and schmoozed the doctors. A perfect wing man. As we were running out the door I remembered to snap a quick photo of my handsome men- really, could they be any cuter?

We've gotta watch what we say now...

Clark picks up on everything these days. He likes to copy our actions, repeat what we say and do everything his Mommy and Daddy do. Well tonight, we noticed he picked up on something else funny. Usually when I change his diaper and he has pooped I'll say "Ewww, Clark you stink" and he'll giggle and say "eewwww" back. So tonight while Rich and I were finishing up dinner he was cruising around the dining room in his cozy coup and paused... his face got bright red and he was obviously pooping. As soon as he was finished he smiled big and said "Ewww!" Too funny.

Clark's got his own University!

And it's a pretty good one too :) I'm just pumped because we can now buy Clark University merchandise, ha! CLICK HERE if you want to see the Clark U website.
