Humpty Dumpty

Miles wore this adorable costume for Halloween when he was a little guy and of course I had to torture poor Clark and dress him up. Sadly he hated it, and it won't fit by the end of October so let the search for his costume begin :) But seriously look how cute he is!!!

Clark's First Birthday Party!

Well- Clark had his first birthday party and it was a total blast! He was so blessed to have so many friends, family & loved ones come celebrate with him- and boy did he celebrate! Clark looked very "Godfather" like in his handsome tuxedo (and rose!) and really loved tearing into his presents, almost as much as he loved tearing into his cake. At first he was a little timid and just tasted small bites, but before we knew it he was squealing with enjoyment as he was throwing cake all over the deck. We were pretty glad that we decided to do it outside! And of course I took like 350 pictures, so here is the narrowed down album. I had the hardest time trimming down the cake pictures, so there are a TON of those! But who doesn't like a baby with cake all over his face?

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with our little guy- and especially all the out of towners who took the time to drive and even fly here. Your time, love, phone calls, cards & gifts were just too much and we really appreciate each and every one. Thank you so much for making our little guy's first birthday (and first year) so memorable. Without you it wouldn't have been the same!

I guess Rich & I aren't the only ones in the family that like playing Rock Band. Clark seriously loved banging on the drums... as you can see!

An Early Birthday Present

Yesterday Rich & I put together Clark's first birthday present from us and let him try it out- He was instantly in love and "walking" around the whole first floor. Too fun! As soon as he saw it this morning he crawled right over and started walking again :) Thanks Great Grandma Gracie for Clark's cool polo!

I'd say it was a success!

The Godfather

I had to add this since the invites have all gone out. I can't believe in a REALLY short week and a half our little baby is going to be a year!!! It makes me excited, sad and a little scared at how quickly a year can fly by.

Family Vaca to NJ & NY

We got back Wednesday night from a fantastic trip to New Jersey and New York! We were only there a week but it felt like we did SO much in that short time. We headed to the New Jersey shore one day and Clark and I got to go to a real boardwalk for the first time and we tried Zeppoles! Clark had never seen the ocean before so he was of course very amazed- almost as amazing as the seagulls! He even got to rid some carnival rides all by himself. Then Clark stayed at Camp Grandma and Grandpa (and Joan & Stan) for 3 nights, which was wonderful for Rich & I, basically because we got to stay out late and sleep in, which we don't do too much of these days. Friday night we got to see a game at Yankee Stadium (our last before they tear it down) and they won which was great. Last time we went the game was terrible, so this was a nice change! Then it was off to Virgil's for some really yummy BBQ NY style!

Clark got to spend an afternoon at the NJ Zoo which is always a crowd pleaser, and even tried Italian Ice there for the first time. Lots of those on this trip. That night Rich and I went with Brian and Eileen to one of the NY burbs for a party one of their friends was having. There was a dunk tank, a food fight and a ton of fun.

Then Clark went to NYC for the afternoon and tried his first bites of real New York pizza! He was in love of course and I think he's been babbling about how he wants more since we've been home. Seriously we had such a blast there- got to catch up with great family, ate way too much good food and didn't want to leave. We're going to have to make this an annual trip!

Of course I took over 600 pictures (you all know I have a problem!) and I did narrow those down to a more manageable 158 for your viewing pleasure. Reads and Naked time!

Clark has gotten into books finally! For the longest time all he wanted to do was eat them, but now he actually likes to look at the pictures while we read along. Too fun! And then after we gave Clark a little diaper-free time, gotta let him breathe a little bit, ya know?! He really likes when he doesn't have pants on... I'm warning you, there are TONS of rolls ahead, scroll down at your own risk :)

Rock Band- again.

Haven't posted in a long time, but we've been busy! We got back last night from NJ & NY visiting family and had a blast. I have more pictures than I even know what to do with, but I'll post some as soon as I've sorted through. I've spent the evening backing up photos so I can free up some space on my computer because I didn't think the vaca pics would fit!

Anyway- here are some pictures from before we left for vacation- We had 2 of our fave couples over for some dinner and a night of rock band enjoyment before the new one comes out. Holy rockin' night- we looked at the clock and it was 2:30 and we were still playing. Fun times. Of course I'm not in any of the pix because I was too busy taking them, but you get the idea :)

I have quite the love-hate relationship with these "drums" Nicolle on the other hand, rocks them pretty good!
