Rich had to work a conference for a couple hours Saturday morning in good old Tan-Tar-A, so we hopped in the car on Friday and headed down there. The drive should have only taken 3 hours but of course we followed the instructions on the website so several crazy back roads, loads of mosquitoes and 4 hours later the three of us pulled up to our "rustic resort." It's right by Lake of the Ozarks which is pretty known to all in the STL and even some Chicagoland folks and was fun for a little local mini vaca-
Driving over the lake-

Ah, lovely Tan-Tar-A

Clark had so much fun exploring the hotel room- and of course I was totally grossed out by him crawling on the carpet, but I'm learning to get over my compulsive issues :) Seriously though, he had such a great time in the hotel room, now we know we don't ever really need to take vacations- just go to a hotel for a little while...

Where's Daddy? Oh, there he is!

Chunky thighs are the BEST!

Fine dining Friday night-

Clark got the silver spoon treatment

Clark liked my rose- eating it that is.

My boy and I. Ignore my nasty post-op ear. It's actually looking much better in this pic though-

Taking his morning bottle in bed- This kid really has a rough life!

And watching some cartoons.

He loves his mirrors-
And, right for the cords under the desk... as usual.

They did have outdoor pools, but the indoor water park was super fun and we didn't need to worry about lathering the little man up with sunblock- he hates that!

Floating down the "lazy river," doesn't look like it here but Clark had so much fun once he got used to being in the water. The three of us floated around in the two man tube while Clark got to splash. He got a kick out of seeing people shoot out the bottom of the water slides too.
