Instagram Fun

I've been slacking on my big camera lately, but snapping away on my phone since it's easier to carry around with the little dudes... anyway, I've been having too much fun with the Instagram app, that allows you to play with your cell pics, here are some from the past month or so-
We had so much fun on Father's Day. I got up with the little guys in the morning and took them to breakfast & a playground so Rich could sleep in as long as he wanted to in a quiet house (something we usually treat each other to on special days :) and he didn't get up until almost 11! When I got back I started on the four hour process of making homemade meatballs and sauce (Rich's fave) which was the PERFECT treat on his Father's Day. After naps we took the boys to the pool for a swim, and after they went down we enjoyed our special meal.
Here are Clark and Dex at the park with their friend Olivia-
Cute brothers!
Boy snuggles before their bedtime
When Grandma and Grandpa were in town we took the boys to Clark's school's carnival for some playtime- Dex LOVED all the rides!
And we took them to Monkey Joe's where the boys got a lollypop treat- they love all the bounce houses there, Clark was comfortable for the first time going down all the BIG slides.
And we went to The Plaza (G&G's favorite breakfast joint by our house) for a little breakfast...
Clark in the pool at swim class
Dex loungin' in his car seat.
Sweet boy with his "flowers" he likes to pick.
Olivia's Mom and Dad have a family place in Innsbrook (lake house community about an hour outside of STL) and we brought the boys there for a day to play in the lake... they had a BLAST!

And of course... CARS TWO :) The boys were beyond excited, and they got to go with their fave buddy Adam.
And after we went to Incredible Pizza (or Pizza Planet as Clark's calls it) for some pizza and playtime. The boys got to ride the go karts and were SO pumped. Adam and his Dad John even got first place, with Clark and I coming in second...
About to ride the Karts with my boy
And... this morning we got to take the kids to the Pride Parade here. It's on Grand a block from our house so we loaded the kiddos up in the stroller with some snacks and went to watch the fun. Here Clark is with Shannon... he's a big fan of her!

Play "dates"

Okay, I promise Dex doesn't live on doughnuts- although this blog would lead you to believe otherwise. Thursdays are special for Dex. Throughout Clark's school year Dex would have dates on Thursday mornings with his little girlfriend Olivia and other fun friends too like Kate, Leo and Quincy. I loved getting some special one on one time with him and he loves his buddies :) Last week we took the kiddos to City Garden for some water fun...

Dex loves all the waterfalls
Sweet little Olivia
This pic of Dex and Kate cracks me up. The first time I saw it, for some reason I could picture Dex all grown up in college hanging out with his girlfriend... so strange!

Happy Birthday sweet baby Dexter!

I'm not sure where the time has gone... It seems like yesterday that we were meeting the new little guy who would become such an amazing part of our lives.
Peaceful little guy!
Then he turned one and LOVED his cake... and got his Lotso- who knew that day it was going to become his obsession :)
Now he's two and time is quickly flying by. It was time for his party. So, we thought what better to do than a Cars (2) themed party, at a playground/splash park, with doughnuts (his favorite) and all his little friends...
Who needs cake when you've got doughnuts from Doughnut Drive-in. I seriously love all the local little city doughnut shops... and so does Dexter! And we had coffee boxes from Panera for the adults.

Had to have some fruit too...
The goodie bags, with "two buck teeth for one buck", Cars pez, bubbles and other fun things.
Happy big bro with his Lightening doughnut... chocolate of course.
Miss Gabi was able to come hang with Dex on his big day
He was having a blast in the fountains
"Truffles Papa" & my birth mom Gramme Marie

Presents
Dex seriously loves his bubble Mater toy from Grandma & Grandpa
AND... another doughnut. Not sure how many he had that day, thankfully he burned off all the sugar playing! :)
We were thrilled G&G could be in town for his party
The only family shot we've gotten in a LONG time
Dex and all his Grandma/Grammies... Lucky little guy!

Mater teeth hugs :)
AND, you can CLICK HERE if you're wanting to check out the rest of the pictures. I couldn't bring myself to post all of them!

Cars Twoooo!

Somebody is REALLY excited to go to the "big movies" and see Cars Two. He asks every single day if we can go, and when we were at the mall yesterday he bolted towards this sign squealing "cars twoooooo!"

who needs toys?

It's been forever since I posted. Seriously forever. Between working a ton more lately (which is an awesome thing, yay for the market picking up!) marathon training (20 mile runs take a long time when you're as slow as I am), entertaining two very active boys, our house getting broken into (?!?) and me totaling Rich's Jeep... updating the family blog has slipped to the last priority spot. Thank goodness for the webcam, or Grandma & Grandpa in FL would forget what their grandkids looked like!
When our house got broken into my laptop was stolen. So sad! Luckily it had been a while since I cleared out my camera card, and I didn't lose too many pictures (except ALL our Disney photos from January, which did make me want to cry). I swear I had backed up since then, but aparently not. Luckily it was just something stolen, that was easily replaceable (with a newer, bigger and better version, take that thieves :) and now I'm back... anyway here are a couple pics from a while ago of my adorable dudes in a giant box. Who needs toys, right?

Mary Kay Fundraiser

Gramme Pamme is a Mary Kay consultant who has generously decided to have a fundraiser for me. The entire month of April she's donating 25% of orders to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society if you mention "LLS" in the comments section of your order. AND the shipping is FREE anywhere in the US!!! Have fun shopping for a great cause, and please feel free to spread the word! With free shipping it doesn't matter where you order from and the more people shopping, the more funds raised for a good cause. My fave items are the mascara and TimeWise moisturizer. The eyeshadows are awesome too... actually I haven't tried anything from Mary Kay that I haven't liked. I'm certainly going to stock up this month!
