Since today was amazingly beautiful we packed up the little guy and headed to the zoo. We had so much fun watching Clark's reactions to everything around him... Although he was more interested in the grass and waterfalls than the animals at some points, it was still great. He even got to ride the carousel but he got to sleepy before we got to ride the train so we headed home. Fun fun day. Next time hopefully Grandpa won't have to work and he'll get to go with us!!!

Aquaman
Move over Vinnie Chase there's a new Aquaman in town. Yesterday we headed out to Lisa's parents house (Memaw & PawPaw) for a long fun day in the pool. We cooked some veggie dogs on the grill, threw back a couple beers and swam swam swam. Best new Sunday tradition ever! Clark had an absolute blast swimming and splashing and playing with his cousins, we have never seen him have so much fun in water. And he loved lounging in his crab floaty- Sadly I think I was too busy slathering sunblock 50 on him the whole day and forgot to do my shoulders. I'm a nice shade of red this morning!

Perry's baby had one too many!

Apparently this is what the grill looks like when you have babies!

It's HOT here!
With 90 degree temps expected all week and it's only June, we're thinking it's going to be a loooong hot summer. So we headed to Target today and got Clark a little baby pool frog for the yard. Cousin Miles was over for a slumber party and we got to play in the yard for a while until Clark had enough of the sun and wanted to head in. Of course I snapped a couple pics of the cute little guy in his bath tonight- loving his ducky and into everything of course!

Hanging with Daddy
Here are a couple pictures of my two favorite boys. Right now Clark is into just about anything we are doing, so here is Clark and his Daddy "playing" Mario Kart on the Wii... Clark looks very focused, cracks me up!

Time to baby-proof!
Clark is officially crawling!!! It's in short little crawling bursts, but he's on all 4's and starting to zoom around the house already. Of course he goes straight for the power cords and outlets, so we're spending some time this weekend making sure the house is Clark friendly. We've already removed our death-trap of a coffee table and moved the cat boxes to the basement. Now the vacuum will be busted out more frequently along with the mop. And, on the topic of mopping- if any of you guys have crawlers and want to limit the chemicals they get on their hands (hello, swiffer) water and vinegar makes a wonderful cleaning combo for the floors and is more toddler friendly! And if you don't want your entire home to smell like vinegar put a couple drops of essential oil in the mix (my fave right now is the grapefruit scent.) It kills all the germs, is better for our little planet- and much cheaper!

FatBaby update
Kim & Tom's maternity pictures are updated on http://www.fatbabyphotography.blogspot.com/ if you'd like to check them out-

Thank you everyone...
for making my birthday so wonderful. I had a great weekend filled with loving friends and family- sweet phone calls and beautiful cards. Two of my very best friends in the world drove down from Chicago and spent the weekend with me and we had a total blast! For the past couple years I really haven't been too into my birthday, it just didn't seem that fun anymore and the whole parties and gifts i always looked forward to just didn't seem necessary anymore. But waking up to my husband and son really made this year great- I am truly lucky and couldn't help but reflect on how much has changed in this past year- and I know that there are so many fun adventures in this year to come. Thank you again everyone for being in my life and making it so special! Love you!
Enjoy the sweet Olan Mills picture- too funny!
