Fall Fun

You know I'm behind on updates when I'm posting pictures of the kids in shorts and there's snow on the ground, haha. Anyway- here are some from this past month...
Clark LOVES to play ball in the park. He's gotten really good at t-ball and now he only wants to be pitched to. Maybe he's going to take after his Daddy!

And the boys had such a blast playing in all the leaves. It's nice living near a giant park-

Dex is always running after his big brother and trying to do every single thing he does.

Dino love

Big Birthdays

Since I've been WAY behind on updating there have been 4 birthdays that have passed... Miles turned EIGHT. I can't believe he's that old already! I got to take his 8 year pics, and I've got to say, he's much easier to shoot now!

Clark's buddy Adam turned three and had a fun party at Whittle with a pinata and everything!

And... Lisa turned FORTY. Yes, forty :) That's always been my scary age, but she makes it look good, and not as scary as I thought! We celebrated at the Four Seasons and since there aren't too many sober pictures I'm not posting a ton.

And last, but NOT least. Great Gram turned 95 this December. We are so blessed to still have her with us! All the grandkids and great grandkidsgot together and sent her 95 roses to mark the occasion... and she loved it. This pic is from my wonderful ILs blog which you can check out HERE.

Five Years

On December 3rd Rich and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. This fall we were able to head to Mexico to celebrate in the warm sunshine which was pure heaven. In some ways it seems like yesterday we just met, and in other ways I feel like I've known him forever. It's been over nine years we first met I can honestly say he's still my best friend. And watching Rich being the most amazing father to our kids has made me fall in love with him all over again... Happy anniversary babe- can't wait to see what the next five have in store for us!

And just for fun here's the wedding video "trailer" our videographer made for us... they did such a fantastic job!

Park and Lollypops

Ah... the brotherly love/hate fest

lollypops make everything better... and make children sit still for pictures!

Clark always likes to show off his tongue while eating a lollypop because he thinks every single color of sucker will make his tongue change to that exact shade...

Dex was actually giggling at his brother here, and I missed the shot...

And of course a firetruck went by...

Breakfast and the park

The other morning we went to one of our favorite breakfast spots, The Plaza, and then to the park for a little playground action...
Dex has gotten real good at feeding himself and breakfast is his fave meal of the day.
And he's such a big boy now he loves going on the big kid swings, although I still stick him in the baby ones when they're available...
And Clark loves pushing his Dad on the swings... he is NOT getting knocked over in this pic even though it looks like it

Hello gorgeous!

Being a mom of boys...

Can be messy!!! Clark and Dex have an adorable neighborhood friend Jane, and it's always funny to me watching how different boys and girls play... We usually take the kids to Bread Co and then the park one morning a week, and it's so nice to get to catch up with a friend while letting the dudes run around. Not sure what we're going to do now that the weather is getting so cold!!!
Dex loves snacking on his bagel chunks
Clark likes going down the slide "like Superman"
Hi Handsome
And here's where the messy part comes in... seriously, who eats mulch?
One of the reasons we try to give them baths each and every night. Clark likes it so much he actually calls it "playing bath" I love the way Dex is looking at his big bro. Even though they fight just like brothers they still love each other so much, it's cute.
hmmm.

This is what I always imagined...

When I imagined having a family one of the things I pictured was staying up late, snuggling on the couch with popcorn and having a movie night. Tonight is our first official one. Toy Story 3 came out on DVD today and we let Clark stay up late, put Dex down a tad early and snuggled up on the couch TS3 popcorn in hand... I already can't wait to do this again, and one day with little Dex too, family movie night is the best!
These pics aren't great of any of us but I had to post them anyway :)

Pumpkin Patch Play Date

These are from a couple weeks ago but I'm a little behind on posting. We met one of my friends from High School Leah, and her adorable little girl Olivia at the pumpkin patch for a little fall fun.
As you can see from this picture, Clark loved the tractor ride... Dex did not.

Dex on the other hand loved the tractor tire thing that spun in a circle. Clark liked decorating everybody with the hay...
Chasing each other in the hay maze.
My hunky little dude
The slide provided 30 minutes of entertainment...

And both boys LOVED the horse swings- Dex kept making his little "neeehh" noise over and over again...
